[IIJ= Gyeongbuk reporter, Euibong Yeo, Wangsoo Lee, Sungsil Im, Jiyeong Nahm] In Hupo harbor located in Uljin-gun, '2016 Uljin Snow Crab & Red Snow Crab Festival' (referred as Uljin Snow Crab Festival as below) was held from February 27th to March 1st. Uljin Snow Crab Festival was crowded with approximately 45 thousands of domestic and foreign tourists who enjoyed it.

Uljin Snow Crab Festival consist of about 30 programs such as a group game, 'Wolsong Big Rope Pulling' to wish for a good harvest, female group game of Uljin, 'Dalneomsae', and 'Tug-of-war with side ropes' with local people and tourists. Festival became more heated with the excitements from those programs.

Gwangwon Im, Governor of Uljin-gun, said "Festival is organized with privately led experiences and activities which tourists can participate in it directly. Also from now on, festival will be mainly led by the local people themselves."
