Congratulatory performances for opening ceremony such as Babblers, Nonsense comic musical, Grand Comic Magic Show, and foreign comedian teams invited from 3 countries of Australia, Canada, and Japan were all sold during the weekend.

Cheongdo-gun, Mecca of Korean comedy culture, is the most production place of flat and astringent persimmons in Korea.

As World Comedy Art Festival and Cheongdo Bansi Festival opened successfully in Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do, visitors to the festival areas experienced precious autumn of Cheongdo through new cultural contents and the autumn of Cheongdo's scarlet colored scenery.

Cheongdo Comedy Art Festival and Cheongdo Bansi Festival progressed, in the themes of 'Be Smile in Cheongdo' and 'A Scarlet-colored story of beautiful Cheongdo', with unique things to see, a variety of promotions for tasting and sales, and interesting performances full of smile and Cheongdo Bansi in accordance with the visitor's preference and interests. Especially, this year's festival had the distinguished point comparing last year's one that this year offered the booth for unique Cheongdo Bansi and the lounge for visitors to see the festival area at once.

Seungyul Lee, Head of Cheongdo-gun, said "This festival had many spotlights from domestic and foreign media so it would be the opportunity for Cheongdo's tourism to improve its brand identity, to develop the festival as Tourism Festival with new cultural contents, and also I will try to support substantially to Cheongdo's economy due to continuous efforts for expansion and extension about culture and tourism areas' development".
