Sport events consist of Lead and Speed for male and female. In this World Cup, intense competitions were along hundreds of players from 20 countries including world-class level of players from world’s ranking 1st to 8th and also 23 of Korean representative players such as Heeyong Park, Yunseon Shin, Hanarae Song, and so on.

During World Cup periods, Ice Carving Exhibition, Traditional Winter Food and other events for experience were processed and prepared, and Cheongsong offered various kinds of events to experience and to eat for tourists.

Also, the interests and participation in Ice Climbing increased as Ice Climbing was selected as the demonstration sport in 2017 Winter Youth Olympic and showcase sport in 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic. It seemed that Cheongsong as well as Korea would be known to the global world, and in addition, Cheongsong would be known as ‘Mecca of Alpine Sports’ therefore it would affect Cheongsong to improve its brand value.

Cheongsong-gun planned to spread Ice Climbing, the Winter Sports’ event, out to the public and to make Cheongsong itself as the Meccas of Alpine Sports in global level.
