Despite the long-term economic recession, 325 companies and 24,215 individuals visited EXCO and the companies made a remarkable performance amounting to about $ 227 million in counseling achievements and about $ 92.3 million in contracts during the 3 day long march.

This year's PID which is already 16 years old was held at the same time with the "2017 Daegu Fashion Fair" under the slogan of "Fusion of Future Emotion and Cutting-edge Technology" and composed a large-scale business exhibition (total 470 exhibitors: PID/325 companies and DFF/145 companies) covering textile materials, industrial materials, fashion clothes, and sewing finished products to create a synergy effect as a fusion exhibition between textile fashion streams. This also received high praise from textile related buyers including apparel and industrial textile demand industries, making the future business prospects brighter.

In particular, despite the THAAD crisis triggered by China, overseas exhibitors such as China, India, etc. and guest buyers participated in this PID Exhibition as planned, and 1,815 foreign buyers from 27 countries visited it for the 3 day exhibition period.

In addition, various events such as "Meeting of Fabric and Fashion", "Daegu Fashion Fair Buying Show", "Global Textile Vision Forum", and "Textile Experience Event" were held at the same time, providing a lot of sightseeings to domestic and foreign academia and general visitors.

Closing this 2017 PID, Daegu-Gyeongbuk Textile Industry Association Chairman Lee said, "Now, the local textile fashion industry plans to strengthen the high-sensitive high-fashion textile industry and globalize the local brand through the fusion of textile and fashion. In addition, the future growth engine of the textile industry is the key material and process technology necessary for the 4th industrial revolution. To this end, industries, academia, research institutes, and governments will work together in order to combine the local industrial textile industry with the future industries like automobile, environment, medical, aerospace, and water. So, I will make PID Exhibition play a leading role in the forefront.”
