Started on the 26th, the 14th Pohang International Fire & Light Festival finalized its 5-day banquet in great success with the closing ceremony and Daily Music Fireworks Show on 30th, followed by the main event, 'International Fireworks Show'.

On the night of the 29th, when the International Fireworks Show was held, the ground was too crowded with the festival participants to make little space for the festival participants to step on. On the Fireworks Show stage, where 877,000 people gathered on that day, the mood was livened up by celebration events such as Salsa Dance and Song & Dance Performance by Colombia and Russian troupes preceded by the main event.

The full-scale fireworks show started at 9pm with the background of the night view of the Pohang Steelworks.

The US Melrose Team, which won the Montreal International Fireworks Show in 2006, displayed a dynamic light show with rock having roll music and cheerful pop songs for a background music.

In addition, the talented Spanish Pirotecnia Igual team, who took charge of the fireworks show at the time of opening and closing ceremonies for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, presented their unique, intensive, and passionate color flame show.

Starting to set off 53 firecrackers for the celebration of the 530,000 Pohang citizens, the Hanhwa team from Korea boasted this international fireworks show with colorful fireworks such as volcanoes, fountain fireworks, and seven colored rainbows.

After the International Fireworks Show, the performance of a Korean band, ‘Buhwal (Resurrection)’ was held, transforming the riverside on a summer night into a place of memories and romance.

At the celebration event in the opening day on the 27th, a Busking festival of flame, "Sea of Artists" was set on stage and a flame art circus performance, ‘Light of Sun & Moon’ which was produced as tourism and cultural contents by the Pohang Culture Foundation with the theme of a representative tale of Pohang, "Yeonorang & Seonyeo” was shown for the first time.

In addition, the 'Action Adventure' section of a daily music fireworks show, 'Sea of Stars' and an EDM party, 'Let's Light Party' with various special effects including lasers made the splendor of this festival more outstanding.

In the meantime, ‘Flying Hope Balloon’ using LED balloons filled with hopes of citizens and ‘Pimaek Party’ where people can enjoy Pidegi (semi-dried squid) and beer were held over and there, which draw great attention of visitors.

Besides, the National Water Motorcycle Tournament that separated the sea coolly and 'Water Gun Battle' where people could ride a sand sled and enjoy water gun battles play in the sand dunes of the beach made spectators forget the heat.

At the last night on the 30th, the special effect of the fluorescent paint water canon with the theme of "Water Color" and the unique and special music world of DJ LokoSoound, who has played all genres, were shown to the audience, resulting in their exclamations.

On the other hand, a total of 2.03 million people was tallied to attend the ‘14th Pohang International Fire & Light Festival, which was held along Yeongildae Beach and River Hyeongsan for 5 days from 26th to 30th with the theme of 'Light of Pohang, Flies in the Sky'.
