[International i Journal = Reporter Lee Sun Ho and Seo Yeon Ji from Daegu] “Preview Daegu (PID), the 2018 Daegu International Textile Fair” hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk-do and led by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Association of Textile Industries pulled down the curtain of its 3 day big run from 7th to 9th.
This year's 17th PID was held at the same time with both "Daegu Fashion Fair 2018 (DFF)” and “The 21st Korea International Textile Machinery Exhibition (KORTEX)" for the first time since it has been held in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution era under the exhibition slogan of "Convergence and Innovation".
A total of 555 companies (300 for PID, 150 for DFF, and 105 for KORTEX) throughout the whole textile industry stream from textile materials to fashion apparel and textile machinery through which the PID has become an international exhibition that presents new aspects of innovation in the textile fashion and machinery industry.
"Brand & TECH 4.0 Pavilion", which was established for promoting new products and providing technical information to overseas and domestic buyers, was well received by demonstrating a variety of patented functional fibers, home textile designs, home bedding brands, and 3D printing and ICT technologies from 35 companies.
In this exhibition were participated foreign buyers from 22 countries including China, USA, France, India and Turkey to have consultations with the participating companies. In addition, consultations with major overseas fashion brands were also made to brighten the prospect of expanding overseas exports through the discovery of new trading partners.
