Gunwi-gun in Gyeongsangbuk-do signed a business agreement on January 9^th to register The Heritage of the Three States to the Memory of the World.

Representatives of the Korean Studies Institute of Seoul National University that possesses the woodblock-printed book of The Heritage of the Three State, Yonsei University Museum, Seobo Museum of Beomeo Temple, and the Korean Studies Institute attended in the ceremony.

In order to register The Heritage of the Three States to the UNESCO’s Memory of the World, each institute decided to actively cooperate by utilizing their capability, and human and material resources as much as possible.

On the other hand, Gunwi-gun has established a foundation for registering The Heritage of the Three States to the Memory of the World through three times of workshops with academic experts, the Korean Studies Institute, and Gyeongsangbuk-do and through the constant business negotiation with the relevant agencies. And as a full-scale opening stage, it aims to apply for registering to the UNESCO’s Memory of the World in the Asia – Pacific in the end of May.
