The International Textile Fair (Preview in Daegu) was held for three days starting on March 6rh. With the participation of 315 domestic and overseas companies, the fair grandly upheld the slogan, “New change to future innovation”

The fair is hosted by Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do and supervised by Daegu Gyeongsangbuk Textile Industries Association, presenting new marketing strategies with consideration to textile producers' status in difficult domestic and foreign market and industrial environment conditions

It presents convergence technology to prepare for the fourth industrial revolution era by expanding various content, considering details such as high sensitivity, highly-functional clothing, materials for everyday use and industrial materials/products for industrial use.

In 2019’s PID, these are presented to visitors in order to attract a huge amount of attention; a trend-setting high-performance material for the rapidly changing area of sports and outdoor and health care,and a variety of creative ideas and innovative, future convergence and complex R & D technology such as functional materials for everyday use in the medical materials, uniforms/work-attire (military uniforms, firefighting outfits), smart articles for fine dust, smart articles for bio signal/automatic fever temperature control, etc.

Organizing the promotion hall of material and bedding industry, which are the specialized industries in the region and presenting new products, it has played a role of new eatery industry of the local textile industry.

The PID runs consultation for three days with the participation of buyers from Asia region including China (Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Guangzhou), Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, and overseas buyers from 21 countries including France, Poland, Russia, Middle East (UAE / Dubai, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey), resulting in about $235 million from participant’s consultation.

In this PID, about 24,000 visitors visited various events such as "Encounter of Textile and Fashion”, “Buying Show of Daegu Fashion Fair”, and "Textile Experience Event."

Participants finalized a three-day march with the consultation results of approximately $235 million.
